Optimization in net-zero energy buildings using multi-objective mixed-integer linear programming
Jul 2021

Modeling a smart green building with renewable resources such as PV and Wind turbines. Considering electrical batteries and Ground Source Heat Pumps for both electricity and heat/cold applications. This project presented a reduction in energy consumption in Tehran (Lat=35.7, Lon=51.35) and Ottawa (Lat=45.3, Lon=-75.7) in four different scenarios.

Mathematical modeling of semi-transparent photovoltaic panels and investigation of integrated systems in the greenhouse and building applications
Jul 2021

In this project, an attempt is made to present a model by using the equations governing the power generation of semi-transparent panels, the optical property of light passing in different wavelength ranges, and the laws governing the thermodynamics of the problem, such as the temperature difference in different layers and the law of conservation of energy. To achieve a systematic view of this model, a conclusion will be drawn using the available data and information to make an optimal decision about using semi-transparent and integrated panels in the greenhouse or building systems.

Monthly heating load calculation with EnergyPlus for the department of energy engineering of Sharif University of Technology, Compared with ISO13790
Feb 2022

The energy requirement for heating is defined in ISO 13790 as the heat to be added to a space intended to maintain the desired temperature conditions over a given period of time. The purpose of the heating calculation is to evaluate the energy performance of the DOEE using EnergyPlus simulation.
